Who is Emeka Obasi?

Born at Umuaroko, Ndume, Ibeku on February 10, 1964 to Isaiah Kanu Obasi and Caroline Erigbuo Obasi from Abia State, Nigeria. He was the fifth child in a family of eleven children, comprising seven boys and four girl.
Life and Times
Obasi, a PR expert and former Commissioner for Information, Abia State, was said to have been battling an undisclosed health challenge before his untimely passing. The family released a statement signed by Prince Emeka Obasi (Jnr) announcing the unfortunate demise.
Causes and Social Involvements
He established two daily newspaper publications, convened the Public Policy Research and Analysis Centre (PPRAC) which organizes the Annual Zik Award.

Emeka Obasi was a great character.
He enjoyed coming to take me out on Sundays to visit friends when he noticed I had such few. He was stunned that in spite of my “vaunted” popularity, I really did not have a wide circle of friends. I remember those Sundays with great fondness. Emeka was exuberant, brilliant and full of life.
